Our sixth Red Kite Day conference delivered our biggest Red Kite Alliance event to date with teachers, support and operational staff participating from our 22 secondary and all-through schools. In addition to the subject CLC sessions, workshops were organised for Pastoral staff and Teaching Assistants, as well as for operational colleagues including HR and Finance.
Keynote Speaker
Lemn Sissay OBE
Lemn is a British poet, playwright, memoirist performer and broadcaster. He has an OBE for services to literature and charity and was awarded the Pen Pinter Prize in 2019. Lemn has been Chancellor of the University of Manchester since 2015 and BAFTA nominated for his television documentaries. Lemn’s keynote took us through his personal journey of growing up in the care system and how this has influenced his life and career.

Chloe Tear
Former Prince Henry's Grammar Student and disability blogger, Chloe Tear, shared her own experiences of what it is like to be a disabled young person navigating the world of education, employment and life.
