Networks
Our networks provide a collaborative and supportive environment for colleagues across our alliance schools. They facilitate the sharing of evidence-based approaches to subject pedagogy, enable networking, and offer access to shared resources. These networks are divided into Primary and Secondary groups, each tailored to support specific educational needs.
Primary Networks
Primary Networks support core subject leads in English, Maths, and Science within our primary and special alliance schools. There is also a dedicated Deputy Headteacher (DHT) Network.
These groups meet termly to:
-
Share and disseminate evidence-based pedagogical strategies.
-
Discuss case studies and best practices.
-
Strengthen professional collaboration across schools.
Each Core Subject group is led by an Alliance Subject Lead, while the DHT Network is coordinated by an Alliance DHT Lead. Both are supported by the RKA Primary Network Lead.
Secondary Networks
Curriculum Learning Communities (CLCs) and the CPD Forum work together to support secondary education by enhancing subject pedagogy and providing strategic leadership for teacher development. Secondary Subject Leads and CPD Leads from alliance schools meet termly to:
- Share and implement evidence-based teaching approaches.
- Exchange case studies and practical resources.
- Shape, support, and monitor the impact of Curriculum Learning Communities.
- Foster networking and professional development.
Each CLC is led by an Alliance Subject Lead and supported by the RKA Research Lead, who also oversees the CPD Forum to ensure alignment with strategic development goals.
School Strengths
The RKA School Strengths network connects alliance schools with expertise in specific areas to support their peers. Schools with externally validated strengths, such as those recognised through Peer Review or Ofsted Inspection (EV), are available to offer guidance and advice. This initiative promotes professional generosity and a shared moral purpose, ensuring all alliance partners benefit from collaboration.
Alliance schools can offer support in several ways:
-
Hosting meetings and tours to showcase best practices.
-
Arranging visits for colleagues seeking advice and expertise.
-
Providing support through online meetings or phone consultations.
