Red Kite Day 7: A Celebration of Empowerment and Inclusion in Education

On Friday 5th July, Red Kite Alliance proudly hosted its seventh biennial Red Kite Day conference for our secondary, all-through and special Alliance partner schools. This year’s inspiring event was dedicated to the themes of empowerment and inclusion and brought together approaching 1000 colleagues for a series of thought-provoking keynote speeches, dynamic workshops and collaborative sessions.
The event featured prominent educational leaders, including Dame Alison Peacock, who shared her insights on advancing educational practices and Rob Coe who spoke about evidence-informed approaches to professional development. Representatives from Google Education provided useful insights in the use of AI in the classroom and David Cameron, a leading voice in education, evoked much laughter across the auditorium with his uplifting and positive keynote, acknowledging the challenges that we have face in schools, but highlighting the benefits that being part of our Alliance make.
Workshops covered a wide array of topics, from innovative teaching strategies and student mental health to the integration of digital learning tools. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions, exchanging ideas and best practices aimed at enhancing student outcomes and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Red Kite Day 7 not only provided valuable professional development opportunities but also strengthened the sense of community within the Alliance. Those that attended left the event with renewed motivation and practical strategies to implement in their schools.
