Hosted at Roundhay School, this event is offered as part of the Red Kite Alliance Secondary Hub with the PTI and is open to all Red Kite Alliance members.
Designed to empower participants to enhance leadership skills and make a positive impact on their students' lives.
Speaker Shaun Brown, Deputy CEO at The Difference, will be focusing on responding to the challenge of Lost Learning, outlining the 'Who is Losing' Learning Report, and it's disproportionate impact on children who face the most significant challenges.
He will introduce and explore 4 key levers for change:
- A Whole School Approach to Inclusion
- Becoming MORE Inclusive Mindset
- Inclusion is Measurable
- Expert Leaders Developing Expert Staff
Considering how each lever helps school leaders to both engage with the challenge in their school and develop practice and systems which improve outcomes for all children. Exploring key examples of successful implementation in school.
The Teacher Leader for this day will be Sam Pocock of Leeds West Academy. Sam will share his wealth of experience and insights, providing attendees with the opportunity to reflect on their own leadership practices and explore strategies to support the most vulnerable learners. Through a combination of lecture, workshop, and collaborative discussions, Sam will empower participants to enhance their leadership skills and make a positive impact on their students' lives.
